Ingrid Chan has been proactively engaging in local and international events to promote MMRTD and has received accolades for her inventions and contributions to the community.
Partnership with HK Society for the Aged (SAGE)
Launched MMRTD rehab program at SAGE elderly care centers, targeting 1,000 members. I organized and led therapy program using the MMRTD application for elderly patients with mild (MMSE score 20) and moderate dementia (MMSE score 10 - 19). Collaborated with certified dementia care planners and occupational therapists to monitor patients' cognitive progress.
Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions 2023
Supported by the HKG's Innovation, Technology & Information Bureau and Education Bureau, I am honored to represent Hong Kong in this prestigious event and have become the first secondary school student to win the Gold Medal Award with Congratulations of Jury, the highest accolade of the competition. This year, over 1,000 inventions from 40 different countries were showcased and competed at the exhibition.
HK Innovation, Technology & Industrial Bureau's Forum
Introduced MMRTD to the Minister of HK Innovation, Technology & Industrial Bureau and the press at the forum and received recognition as the winner of the Geneva International Exhibitions of Invention.
HK Trade Development Council Final Pitching Day
As the Winner of APICT Awards 2022, I was invited to join the Startup Express Final Pitching Day to present the MMRTD project to investors, TDC executives, and other startup entrepreneurs for funding and resource support. Received Distinction Performance Certificate
Student of The Year - Scientist & Mathematician Award
Named as the Winner of the Student of the Year 2022/23 Scientist and Mathematician Award, jointly organized by the South China Morning Post and Hong Kong Jockey Club. The prize is awarded to the student who demonstrates outstanding research results and noteworthy personal accomplishments in the STEM field and has proactively made positive changes to the community.
2022 Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards Ceremony
Representing HK and supported by the HKG Chief Information Office in the largest Int’l ICT competition in Asia Pacific. Invention: MMRTD, a mixed reality rehab program designed for dementia patients, was selected as the winner among 250 top regional players from 17 countries. The APICTA Award is regarded as the ICT Oscar Award in Asia.
MMRTD Presentation to HKG Chief Information Officer
As the Gold Award Winner of the Hong Kong ICT Award - Student Innovation, I was invited to present the MMRTD project to the Chief Information Officer of the HK Government and other representatives from universities and tech firms at the seminar.

Girls4Girls Coding+ Scheme
Serving as a Youth Board Member of JYC Giris Impact Foundation and volunteer Teaching Assistant of the 10,000 Girls4Girls Coding+ Scheme to coach and mentor students from 60+ under-resourced schools in the basics of coding, share my experience encouraging fellow teen girls to be future-ready leaders equipped with STEM knowledge, lead and inspire students to apply STEM knowledge to solve social issues
